The FRTA I™ (Instrument for Concentration Limits of Flammability Determination) is designed to determine both the Lower Flammability Limit (LFL) and the Upper Flammability Limit (UFL) of various f lammable gases or volatile liquids. The FRTA I applies high voltage electrical ignition and visual observations of flame propagation.
APPLICATIONSThe FRTA I is used to measure lower and upper flammability limits of gases and vapors in the air at defined temperatures and pressures. The flammability limits are necessary for preparation of guidelines for safe handling of flammable chemicals and their fire hazard assessment.
